PETER PRISCHL
Peter Prischl is a fine jeweller with vast expertise in jewellery design and restoration. Born into a family of jewellers from Vienna and then South Africa, Peter travelled the globe before arriving in Australia in 1973. He initially worked with Bruce and Walsh Jewellers in King St Sydney, before establishing his own studio in 1976. He partnered with Lee James-Young to launch Peter Lee Jewellery Productions then founded a new company with Ian Hadassin. They successfully expanded the business across Australia and New Zealand, also joining with Strand Watchmakers and Jewellers. In 1992, Peter and Graham Walsh established Prischl and Walsh Jewellers, opening stores in North Sydney and Hornsby.
In 1997 Peter launched the current Northbridge store with Casi, who had joined the prior year as Manager. They oversaw stores in North Sydney and Hayman Island for several years, before deciding to focus on the flagship location. Today, Peter continues to design bespoke jewellery, restore much cherished pieces, and source exquisite items for Prischl’s loyal customers.
IZABELLA KRIEK
Izabella Kriek joined Prischl as an apprentice in 2021, proving to be “the best apprentice I’ve ever had” according to Peter. Her talent and dedication were recognised in 2023 with a TAFE NSW Outstanding Apprentice Award.
Now fully qualified, Izabella has built exceptional skills across jewellery design, modelling and repair. You will also find her at the Prischl counter, providing first class service to our customers.
